PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for the collection, maintenance, verification, entry, and retrieval of student data information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
Knowledge of basic data collection and word processing software
Experience:
Some computer experience desirable
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Responsible for the collection, entry verification and retrieval of student attendance/data information.
- Assist in the identification of erratic student attendance patterns and report findings to supervisor for follow-up.
- Work closely with school administration to ensure of all student attendance data.
- Provide accurate and timely computer generated student attendance reports.
- Work closely with Attendance Officer and Campus Administrators regarding enrollment and withdrawal of students.
- Helps to answer the telephone.
- At time will need to assist in calling substitutes.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Principal.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
Records and Reports
- Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source document using online computer terminal or personal computer.
- Key and verify results according to procedures provided.
- Recognize and correct errors in original data prior to processing.
- Recognize deficiencies in source documents and returns them to originator for correction.
- Print reports using database information including attendance reports, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports.
